Tuna Sandwich is something I grew up with. It was quickly made and took little effort. I mean even when I was a lazy teenager I had no issues to create this little dish. You literally just need a bowl and a fork. The older I got the more variations I created and they change from time to time.

This recipe is for those, who are hungry and want to eat quickly.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans tuna brined in water
  • 4 tablespoon mayo
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 small red onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Drain the liquid from the can of tuna and put them in a medium sized bowl.
  2. Dice your red onion into fine pieces and to your bowl.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and mash them up with a fork to the desired consistency.
  4. Toast your bread and add your mix to your bread.
  5. You can now leave the kitchen and relax. 🙂

Notes

Some people don’t like red onions, but you can substitute them with shallots or omit them completely. If you are a fan of herbs I recommend adding fresh dill to it.
