I grew up with Streusel Plum cake since I can remember. The best part about this dessert is that it is simple to make and the Streusel on top of the cake makes all the difference. As a small kid I would pick out the Streusel first and set them aside to keep it for the end, because they were the best bit!

Yeast Dough
- 500 g flour
- 1 pkg dry yeast
- 250 ml warm milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 75 g sugar
- 100 g butter
- 1 egg
- 1 Pkg vanilla sugar
- 350 g Plum Jam or any Jam flavor you choose
Streusel
- 200 g flour
- 150 g sugar
- 100 g butter
- 1 Package vanilla sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- First you will want to make the yeast dough by adding the dry ingredients together.
- Warm up the milk for the yeast, but not to hot to kill the yeast. If you out your finger in it should feel comfortable.
- Melt your butter and add your wet and dry ingredients together.
- Line your cake form with baking paper. Pour the batter into your 9 x 9 inch square form and spoon jam unto the batter.
- Prepare your Streusel by combining the flour, cold butter, sugar, salt and vanilla flour. Knead them roughly together and crumble them over your batter.
- Bake at 390 F or (200 C) for 35 minutes until the top layer is crispy and the dough risen.
- Serve warm or cold with whipped cream.
