Potato Egg Tuna Salad is another variant of a potato salad. Some here might be apprehensive to add tuna into this salad, but it won’t be heavily fishy tasting. The tuna will just another subtle flavor and the olives will add a new saltiness to this dish.

A big tip I would give is during the cooking stage of your potatoes. Add a good amount of salt to your water. It will preseason the potatoes and it will taste better than bland ones. Like that you won’t need to add too much salt to the sauce.

Remember that pickles and olives will also comes with their own salty flavor and because of that be cautious how much salt you add to this potato salad.

I would recommend to let the potatoes cool of completely before adding anything else. Processing it while warm is not a problem. In this recipe I prepped the salad while the potatoes were warm. The bonus of potatoes being warm will help the mayonnaise to mix easier into the salad.

If you are using fresh homemade mayonnaise, please let the potatoes cool of completely to avoid heating the mayo, since it isn’t heat treated and cause you to get sick. Your potato egg tuna salad should be put in the fridge as soon as possible, if you cook it ahead.

  5. Pour your mayonnaise mixture to the big bowl with potatoes and give it a good mix.

Notes

Depending on how much mayonnaise you like in your salad is up to you. Feel free to add more mayonnaise if the salad seems dry.
