Gooey Brownies are delicious and chocolate makes people happy and for myself I cannot repeat that chocolate = Life. Imagine it is late at night and you had a stressful day. Nothing feels good, but this will melt your worries away and you will know that you deserved happiness.

Brownies are really is to make and this recipe requires less than one hour of your time. The less you bake this, the gooier it will be. The way you know that it stays gooey is to wiggle your baking pan and when you see a slight wiggle take it out. Remember the brownie will continue to set while cooling.

When you have leftover brownies the next day and want to eat one, I suggest warming it up in the microwave for 10-30 seconds. Serve it with some vanilla ice-cream. Another option is to cut them into chunks and add them to your vanilla ice-cream to have some brownie chunks in them.

Gooey Brownies Ingredients

Butter: Unsalted butter is the best option for this recipe, since we cannot control the saltiness of the dish.

Sugar: White sugar is the standard for this recipe, but can be substituted with 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white sugar. The white sugar will give you a denser fudgier brownie.

Eggs: I cracked four medium sized eggs for the brownies.

Cocoa: Everyone likes different bitterness percentage. I went for 70% dark cocoa.

Dark Chocolate Chips: Since the brownies are inherently sweeter I chose dark chocolate chips to counter the sweetness. Pick whichever sweet tooth tempts you!

Flour: For this recipe I chose all-purpose white flour, but cake flour is also a good choice.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 250 g Butter
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Dark Cocoa
  • 200g of Dark Chocolate

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 F
  2. Cream sugar and butter together until the sugar is incorporated.
  3. Add your Eggs one at a time to avoid splitting the mix.
  4. Add your Vanilla Essence and salt to the batter.
  5. Add your dry ingredients to your wet ingredients and mix well.
  6. Now finally the most important part chop your chocolate into rough chunks. You don’t want them to small or else they will just blend in.
  7. Pour your batter into a 8 x 8 Pan and bake your brownies between 20-25 min. I like to go for the shorter time. The way i check mine is pressing the middle a little and wiggle the pan. If it doesn’t jiggle too much it’s done. The toothpick test might be hard here, because of your melted chocolate will make you believe that it is done.

Notes

You can you any type of chocolate. If you prefer milk chocolate in your brownies, then I suggest to only do 1 1/2 cup of sugar, since it will be too sweet. You do you!
