Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 kg Chicken Breast
  • 200 g Ham
  • 250 g Gouda Cheese
  • 3 Eggs
  • 150 g Flour
  • 200 g Semolina Flour

Instructions

  1. Pound the chicken as thin as you can without creating holes. Season both sides with salt and pepper generously.
  2. Put one slice of cheese, then ham and another slice of cheese on top of your flattened chicken. Fold the chicken over and tighten it with a toothpick.
  3. Pull out three bowls and put in one bowl semolina flour and season it with salt. Second bowl with plain flour, which you also season with salt. Lastly in the last bowl whisk your eggs together and again season them with salt.
  4. Dip your Cordon Bleu into the following order: Flour > Eggs > Flour > Eggs > Semolina.
  5. Fry the Cordon Bleu in the oil for 4-5 min each side until golden brown.
  6. I like to put them in for 15 min at 350 F to cook them through.
  7. Serve with mashed potatoes or any side that you desire.

Notes

If you don’t have Semolina Flour, you can substitute the flour with bread crumbs.
