Everyone makes a different Tzatziki version of it. I like mine pretty garlicky, but that is up to you. This is a super quick recipe and you are going to love it. Tzatziki Sauce is a dish that comes from Greece and mostly know as a dip.
I like the freshness of this dish and pairs well with meat dishes like Kebab or Sharma. You don’t like meat, then dip your fries into your Tzatziki. Lately I’ve been eating it with Tortilla chips or some saltine crackers. My pantry was a little empty and to my surprise it worked well.
Tzatziki contains just a few ingredients like Greek yogurt, garlic, cucumbers, salt, pepper and some lemon juice. Easy, right? No skill involved and just a little of grating the cucumber. I do recommend eating it within 2 days, since the cucumbers will still release some water and it will look a little runny. The taste won’t be affected!
A tip though from this is to not peal the cucumbers. Wash them well, but don’t peel them, since I think it will influence the texture of your Tzatziki Sauce.

Ingredients
- 1 English cucumber (just a very long one)
- 200 g greek yogurt
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Grate your cucumber into a bowl. Squeeze your grated cucumbers with a kitchen towel or by hand to remove excess liquid.
- Add your seasoning and grated garlic to it. Finish with some Greek yogurt and a squeeze of lemon.
- Adjust your salt and pepper, if needed.
